Achievements and Awards

  1. Launched 7147 Silver Taxis in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi within a short span upon establishment of TransAD.
  2. “Call Centre” – For Taxi Booking, complaints registration, Lost & Found items and Enquires, available to public 24/7/365 days.
  3. 25% of the Taxi Fleet were converted into CNG fuel system, to support Abu Dhabi’s Green Environment Initiative.
  4. Old Taxis (Gold & White) had been completely phased out from Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Region.
  5. Implemented “Beneficiary Certificate Retrieval” for old taxi permit owners.
  6. Introduced Ladies Taxis driven by lady drivers.
  7. Introduced Family Taxis driven by lady drivers.
  8. Introduced discount on Taxi fares for Senior citizens and Special need peoples supported by Ministry of Social Affairs.
  9. All Taxis are fitted with Intelligent Taxi Meter System and Global Positioning System (GPS).
  10. Zone based Taxi Speed Monitoring & Enforcement System.
  11. Mobile Apps for Taxi Booking.
  12. Installed “Digital Taxi Sign” in Taxis as Pilot test, which are fully integrated with Taxi Meter System, Fleet management and Call Centre.
  13. Completed the first phase of “Call Centre Campaign”.
  14. Taxi Booking thru IVR on 600 53 53 53.
  15. Initiative for exclusive taxi service at Abu Dhabi International airport is in place and the services expected to start during last quarter of the year 2013.
